This Privacy and Cookie Notice (“Notice”) describes how Wildcard (also referred to as “Wildcard”, “we”, or “us”) will make use of your personal data when you are using our Services. This Notice comprises the following sections:
This Notice describes how Wildcard (also referred to as “Wildcard”, “we”, or “us”) will make use of your personal data when you are using our Services.
It explains the types of information we collect, the purposes for which we are using personal information and the legal grounds on which we rely. The Notice sets out how we share personal information with third parties, for how long we store personal information and how we use cookies.
It also describes your data protection rights, including the right to object to some of the processing which we carry out. More information about your rights, and how to exercise them, is set out in the “Your data protection rights” section.
When we use capitalised terms in this Notice, these terms have the meaning explained in our Terms of Service or Competition Rules.
We are Wildcard, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company registration number 12712989 and registered address at International House, 36-38 Cornhill, London, England, EC3V 3NG We control the information we collect about you when you use our Services and we are the data controller for the purposes of data protection law.
Wildcard provides you with regulated account information services as an agent of Truelayer Ltd., an authorised payment institution regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (Firm Registration Number: 901096) for the provision of payment services, including account information services. Truelayer Ltd. registered offices are at Part Ground Floor (East), Floors 6 and 7, The Gilbert, 40 Finsbury Square, London, EC2A 1PX. Turelayer Ltd. (company registration number 10278251) is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 for the provision of payment initiation and account information services (firm reference number 901096). When we refer to “personal data” or “personal information” in this Notice, we mean information that relates to you. We collect and process your personal data when you interact with us through our website and our app and when you use our Services. This includes:

Wherever we rely on consent, you will always be able to withdraw that consent at any time, although we may have other legal grounds for processing your data for other purposes, such as those set out above. You have an absolute right to opt-out of direct marketing, or profiling we carry out for direct marketing purposes, at any time. You can do this by (i) clicking on the unsubscribe link in the relevant marketing communication, (ii) changing your marketing preferences through your Profile, or (iii) emailing us using the contact details under the “Contact Us” section below.
We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions about you which have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
A cookie is a small text file that is saved in your computer or mobile device when you use the Services. It enables our website to remember your actions and preferences (such as language preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to our website or browse from one page to another. This may include sharing with social networks such as Facebook actions that you take on our Services such as your visits to our website, your interactions on our website, information collected from cookies or similar technologies and the ads you see. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, improve our marketing practices, and helps us deliver more relevant advertising to you and people like you (including on social media). We are Joint Data Controllers with Facebook Ireland for this processing and have agreed with Facebook our respective responsibilities for complying with data protection law. In terms of this division of responsibility, in summary, Wildcard provides you notice but Facebook is the primary contact if you wish to exercise your rights under data protection law in respect of this processing. Where we need to transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and where this is to a stakeholder or vendor in a country that is not subject to an adequacy decision by the EU Commission, data is adequately protected by EU Commission approved standard contractual clauses or a vendor’s Processor Binding Corporate Rules. You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data; to correct, delete or restrict (stop any active) processing of your personal data; and to obtain the personal data you provide to us for a contract or with your consent in a structured, machine readable format, and to ask us to share (port) this data to another controller.
In addition, you can object to the processing of your personal data in some circumstances (in particular, where we don’t have to process the data to meet a contractual or other legal requirement, or where we are using the data for direct marketing).
These rights may be limited, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal personal data about another person or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping. We will inform you of relevant exemptions upon which we rely when responding to any request you make.
