Updated 03.03.2024
These Competition Rules apply to all Competitions that are made
available via our Services. We may update these Competition Rules
from time to time. It is very important that you check each relevant
section of these Competition Rules before participating in any
Competition, as by entering the Competition you agree to be bound by
and comply with the most current version of these Competition Rules.
Any changes that are made to these Competition Rules will not apply
to Competitions that you entered before the changes came into
effect.
None of our Competitions are sponsored by, or otherwise affiliated
with, Google, Apple or any other app store providers.
These Competition Rules form part of our Terms of Service. By
participating in any Competition, you also agree to be bound by and
comply with our Terms.
Terms that begin with capital letters (defined terms) have the
meanings that are given to them in these Competition Rules or, if
they are not defined in these Competition Rules, they have the
meanings that are given to them in the Terms. These Competition
Rules are split into the following sections:
-
Section 1: Free Entry Rules – these apply to your use of Coins
on our Service
-
Section 2: Paid Entry Rules – these apply to every postal entry
that you make
-
Section 3: Postal Entry Rules – these apply to every postal
entry that you make
-
Section 4: Draw Rules – these apply each time you participate in
a Competition
-
Section 5: Referral Scheme Rules – these apply to every referral
that you make
-
Section 6: General Rules – these apply to every Competition that
you participate in
Please read the description on each Competition page carefully as
this will tell you which sections of these Rules apply to the
Competition.
-
Free Entry Rules
This section (“Free Entry Rules”)
applies to our allocation of Free Entries to your Profile;
- 1.1.Earning Free Entries
-
Each time that you subscribe to a draw, we credit a
certain amount of Free Entries to your Profile associated
with the particular draw subscribed.
-
Your Profile will accrue Free Entries automatically based
on the frequency of the draws, as per the below table:
Draw Frequency | Number of Free Entries |
Weekly | 1 per week |
Fortnightly | 1 per fortnight |
Monthly | 1 per month |
Annual | 1 per year |
Bespoke Programme or Referral Scheme | As specified in the details of the bespoke
programme or referral scheme. |
-
Your Profile will also accrue Free Entries when you
participate in the referral scheme of Wildcard.
-
It may take up to twenty-four (24) hours for Free Entries
to be credited to your Profile after you become eligible
to receive them.
- 1.2.Earning Free Entries
-
Free Entries can only be used to participate in
Competitions via our Services.
-
Free Entries have no monetary value and cannot be traded
or exchanged for money or money’s worth.
-
You must not sell, barter, trade or otherwise transfer
Free Entries to any third party. We reserve the right to
suspend or close your Profile if you do or attempt to do
any of these things.
-
If you have played the Free Enty by participating in each
Competition, one or more Free Entries are required to
additionally participate in any and all Competitions on
our Services.
-
Every additional transaction will be associated with a
token (“Ticket”) that will
be charged at the rate specified in the competition
details in the Draw.
-
Each Competition will specify the number of Free Entries
that are credited automatically when subscribing to the
Draw.
- 1.3.Free Entries expiry and cancellation
-
If your Wildcard profile remains inactive for ninety (90)
days or more, you will stop accruing new Free Entries
until you log back into your Profile and redeem any unused
Free Entries that remain in your Profile.
-
If your Profile is closed for any reason, any unused Free
Entries in your Profile will be deleted and you may, at
our discretion, not be able to claim them back if your
Profile is reactivated within ninety (90) days of account
closure.
-
Paid Entry Rules
In order to join the draws, individuals need to register for an
account on the Wildcard app.
-
2.1.
Subscribers consent to connect their bank account to the app,
granting Wildcard restricted access to view their bank transactions.
-
2.2.
Users are given the opportunity to enter into various draws,
weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly draws available. These draws
may include chances to win cash prizes on a weekly, fortnightly
and/or monthly basis.
-
2.3.
Users who subscribe to enter by paying are entitled to receive
one free entry to each draw, accompanied by an additional entry
for every card transaction conducted on their linked bank account.
-
2.4.
Upon subscribing to participate in a draw, comprehensive details
regarding the charges per linked bank transaction are provided
for transparency. Upon each debit card transaction made on their
linked account, Wildcard is authorised to levy one entry fee
to the draw onto the user's debit card.
-
2.5.
Wildcard monitors the number of transactions, and thus its associated
tickets, and subsequently charges the users once a week (prior
to the closing of the draw) based on the number of tickets accrued.
This is referred to as “Metered Billing”, where for each transaction the user gets one ticket, with
each ticket having a set fee (e.g. £0.10), and the user gets
billed at the end of each draw (e.g. end of week/month/etc.)
depending on how many transactions/tickets the user has
accrued within the period of a specific draw.
-
2.6.
Paid entrants are not subjected to any restrictions on the frequency
of their entries for each draw, with their entries being limited
solely by the number of card transactions conducted on their
account during the entry period.
-
2.7.
In principle, a subscriber abstaining from any transactions on
their linked bank account would not incur charges for draw entry
but would still be granted one Free entry, pursuant to the terms
of participation.
-
2.8.
The prize pool correlates with the number of paid entries, the
cash reward increases with greater participation from paying
users.
-
Postal Entry Rules
This section (“Postal Entry Rules”) applies, together with the General Rules, Competition Rules,
Privacy Rules, Term of Use, each time that you participate in
the Postal Entry on our Services.
Wildcard Ventures Limited (Wildcard) offers an alternative means
of entering into Prize Draws. The process for using this
alternative means of entry is described in detail below:
Just like the paid method of entering into a Prize Draw, this
alternative method requires you to accept all our terms and
conditions, including our Terms of Use, Competition Rules, and Privacy Notice, and Play Rules for the applicable Prize Draw, which can be
found in the draw description in the App.
- 3.1.How to participate
- Maximum one entry per postcard
-
On a blank sheet of paper, or postcard, write or type your full legal name, address
(no post office box addresses accepted), city, post code, telephone number (optional), email address and Name of live Prize Draw that you want to enter including the unique Draw ID (as shown in the Play Rules description).
For example:
-
If Wildcard had a draw running called Super Pay-Day in
Week 30, the entrant would write, ‘Wildcard - Super Pay-Day - ABC-123-XYZ’.
-
If Wildcard were running a draw called Monthly-Madness
in March 2024, the entrant would write, ‘Wildcard -
Monthly-Madness - DEF-456-UVW’, etc.
-
This needs to be written down in very clear writing or
typeface, otherwise the entry may be deemed invalid.
-
Send to the following Address:
Wildcard - [Insert draw name] - [Insert draw ID]
(for example, Super Pay-Day - ABC-123-XYZ)
International House,
36-38 Cornhill,
London,
EC3V 3NG
-
3.2.A maximum of one entry
can be made per postcard or envelope received. There is no limit
to the number of entries that may be made this way.
- 3.3.Valid Entries
-
For valid entries into all Wildcard Prize Draws (other
than Subscriber-Only Draws), once a postal entry has been
processed it will be entered into the next relevant draw
until the Jackpot Prize is drawn.
-
For the avoidance of any doubt, if for example Wildcard
had a Prize Draw for Super Pay-Day - Week 30, and the
postcard stated that the entrant would like to enter this
particular draw that is referenced with a unique Draw ID,
and that entrant had written their details as described
above, then just as with any one paid entry, this postcard
would count for one entry into this applicable Prize Draw,
but would not count for entry into any other future Draws.
-
Postal entries are treated in exactly the same way as paid
entries for the purposes of determining a winner. However,
there is a difference in the deadlines for entries. All of
our draws (Subscriber-Only Draws) close at 23:59:59 pm
(GMT or BST, as applicable) on the entry close date
specified in the Competition Rules, 2.2. Competition
Frequency.
-
The corresponding cut-off for postal entries will be that
they are received and processed before 5:00pm (GMT or BST,
as applicable) on the last date of the respective postal
entry period for the Prize Draw (see the applicable Play
Rules in the app for dates).
-
Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one
paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be
no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of
the win or to receive the prize. If the above steps are
not followed as described then a postal entry will be
invalid. You will not be notified if your entry is
invalid.
-

receiving communication about winning ticket/s). You will
also be able to check each “Winning Ticket/s” under the
“Credit” page of our app.

From time to time, Wildcard might run a special

to do so will result in your winnings being void.

For cash prizes of over £1,500, you may be asked to submit

If you have not claimed your prize of over £1,500 within
10 days of requesting the withdrawal of the prize from the
relevant Competition, by providing the required AML/ KYC
screening documentation, you will no longer be eligible to
receive the prize and the prize will not be awarded to you
and, for the Competitions, we reserve the right to award
the prize to an alternative winner selected at random from
all valid entries submitted during the relevant
Competition Period.
- 6.4.Winner Selection
-
We administer the selection of all winners using random
number generator software.
-
You fully accept and agree that this random number
generator software will determine all outcomes of those
Competitions. In the event of a discrepancy between the
results displayed on your device, and a Competition’s
records on our server, our records will be regarded as
definitive.
-
In the event of systems or communications errors relating
to the generation of any result, settlement or any other

you have, or have attempted to disrupt or undermine the

-
We accept no responsibility or liability for any error,
omission, interruption, deletion, theft or destruction, or
unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries.
-
In the event of a dispute over the identity of a winning
participant, we will deem the winner to be the authorised
account holder of the email address associated with the
Profile from which the entry was submitted. In this
context, “Authorised account holder” is the natural person
who is assigned to an email address by an internet access
provider, on-line service provider, wireless carrier, or

addresses for the domain associated with the submitted
email address.

liability to you in connection with any Competition that
you enter via our Services.
